Resealable shielding bags provide better protection than standard shielding bags by offering a more effective barrier against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrostatic fields. They should always be used for the storage and transport of electronic devices (ESDS) outside an ESD-protected area (EPA). To prevent damage to circuit boards and loose electronic components caused by ESD and exposure to electrostatic fields, these items should always be stored and transported in shielding bags, which are specifically designed to create a conductive barrier that dissipates static charges and protects sensitive electronics. The bags provide electrostatic shielding with E < 10 nJ, are marked with the product name, ESD symbol, recycling symbol, and batch number, and have a typical surface resistivity Rs of 10⁹-10¹⁰ ohms for both inner and outer layers. They comply with the standards IEC 61340-5-1 and IEC 61340-5-3.
