Resealable shielding bags provide safer protection than standard shielding bags by offering a more effective barrier against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrostatic fields. They must always be used when storing and transporting electronic devices (ESDS) outside an ESD Protected Area (EPA). To prevent damage caused by ESD and exposure to electrostatic fields, all circuit boards and loose electronic components must always be stored and transported in shielding bags. These bags are specifically designed to create a conductive barrier that dissipates static charges and protects sensitive electronics.
