The product provides effective protection against moisture-related damage, such as corrosion, during both transport and storage of industrial products, including electronic and optical equipment. To ensure adequate moisture protection, the correct amount of desiccant must be used inside the packaging. According to the European DIN standard 55473/B, specific recommendations apply to PE and aluminum packaging, such as Dry-Shield bags. For storage in lightly vacuum-sealed bags for up to six months, four desiccant units per square meter of packaging surface are recommended. For storage of up to one year under the same conditions, eight desiccant units per square meter are recommended. Each desiccant bag weighs 35 grams.
